Privacy policy
This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit swissdetours.com. We keep it short because we collect very little: no analytics, no advertising trackers, no newsletter, no comments.

2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. When you open a page, the server automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. We need this data to deliver the website securely and to defend against attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website). The log files are stored for a short period and then deleted. We have a data processing agreement with the hosting provider.
3. Encryption
This website uses TLS encryption (https). You can recognise it by the lock symbol in your browser.
4. Cookies and local storage
We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising. The language plugin may set a technically necessary cookie (pll_language) that remembers whether you read the English or German version. Legal basis: § 25 (2) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If you log in to the admin area, WordPress sets the cookies required for the login.
5. YouTube videos (two-click solution)
We embed our own videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The video is only loaded when you click the play button. Before that, no connection to YouTube is made. After your click, your browser connects to YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) and transmits your IP address and technical data; Google may also process data in the USA. Legal basis: your consent through the click, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Affiliate links
We link to tours, tickets and travel services of partners such as GetYourGuide (GetYourGuide Deutschland GmbH, Berlin), Viator (Viator, Inc., part of Tripadvisor) and partners of Travelpayouts. Our website does not load any scripts from these providers. Only when you click a link do you leave our website; the provider then processes your data under its own privacy policy and may set cookies to assign a booking to us. Legal basis for the link itself: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our interest in financing the website).
7. Contact by email
If you email us, we process your email address and message to answer you. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. We delete the emails when they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.
7a. Interactive map, weather and saved list
Our map page loads map tiles from OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org) and current weather values from Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com, Open-Meteo GmbH, Switzerland). For this, your browser transmits your IP address and technical data to these services. Neither service sets cookies. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our interest in a useful planning map). The map software itself is loaded from our own server.
The “Near me” function asks your browser for your location only after you click it and only with your permission (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). The location is processed in your browser and is not sent to us. Your saved list is stored in your browser’s local storage and never reaches us; you can delete it at any time with “Clear list”.
7b. Visitor statistics (Burst Statistics)
To understand which guides are read, we use the WordPress plugin Burst Statistics. The statistics run entirely on our own server, no data is passed to third parties. We use the cookieless mode: no cookies are set and no fingerprint is created; visitors are only counted via an anonymous value that changes daily and are not recognised across days. We record the page viewed, referring page, device type, browser and country in anonymised form. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
9. Visitors from Switzerland
For visitors from Switzerland, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) also applies. Your data is processed in Germany, a country with an adequate level of data protection according to the Swiss Federal Council.
